Hey girlfriends,

So, several of you know that I’ve been participating in a course called “Loving the Life you Have and Letting Love Find You”. It’s a 3 month course on finding your ideal mate. No, it’s not therapy (what your dad did or didn’t do), it’s not “extreme makeover” (at least in the sense that nobody’s going to micro-analyze what you say on a date or how you dress) and it’s not “let’s make lists of all the friends you know who know single men and all the smithsonian events you can possibly sign up for”…it’s much more inwardly-focused…much more about empowering yourself to work toward being the best version of you there is…and thus attract the best dude out there for you. It’s a little bit of Aretha and a little bit of Beyonce… You’ll definitely learn some things about yourself you didn’t know (or want to know)…make some really important connections (ahaaaa! moments), accept truths (and i am definitely not talking about ones like “there are more women than men in DC and the men who are here are gay), and get the motivation and support you need to take action where it’s needed. And really, that’s just the tip of the iceburg.

It’s a very intimate experience with the facilitator (life/relationship coach), Atieno, and with the other people in the group (no, not all women…and certainly not all quasimotos…everyone’s smart, attractive and interesting…yet single…puzzling)…and yet you feel totally safe–even the people who are self-described as ’shy’ have been able to really open up. Atieno has a really unique approach to this condundrum and is amazing at what she does…..it’s been really working for me…and for once in my life I feel like I’m not beating my head against the wall but am really getting somewhere…which is why I want to share it with you! I would die happy tomorrow if I knew that all the gorgeous and smart women I knew who *want* love in their life, actually found it.

You don’t have to actually be in-person for the sessions, you can skype or call in…which is why I’ve put you on this list even though you may not live in DC. Atieno also does one-on-one coaching sessions over the phone if you really feel like the group would be too exposing for you. (but I highly recommend the group.)

I know it’s not the cheapest thing you’ll ever do with your money, but it lasts a *lot* longer than a fancy dinner will and is much more satisfying than a great-fitting dress (and you know there are fewer things more satisfying than that!).
